Inclusion Coffee Morning
Thank you to those parents who attended the Coffee morning today. Trisha Mason provided us with an informative talk on relationships and behaviours and the impact they have on our children.
Research states that:
"Children of distressed couples often have poorer school performance, more behavioural problems, and greater incidence of physical illness." (Cherlin, 1991)
" Researchers have consistently demonstrated that couple distress negatively affects the partners' health, welfare, and quality of life, and is a risk factor for poor child outcomes." (Cordova, Warren & Gee, 2001)
"Children from high-conflict families, when compared with children from low-conflict homes, have more adjustment problems. (Booth & Amato, 2001)
Trisha is in school on a Tuesday and Thursday to work with families and children who are having difficulties at home or in school. If you would like an appointment with Trisha please see Mrs Hoffman.

Food of the Week
Today the children in nurture group tried their hand at making cheese and ham kebabs. They each had a kebab stick to fill with cheese, ham, cucumber and tomatoes. They realised that the tricky bit was keeping the cheese cubes from breaking but they used resilience and finally finished some impressive looking kebabs. What do you think?
